January Reads

Happy 2017, everyone! We've had a bit of a rough start to the new year - perhaps we'll go into details in a later post - but we're hoping to start getting back into weekly posts during the month of February. Since we're once again undertaking the challenge of reading 100 books in a year, we'll also continue last year's trend of doing wrap-up posts at the end of each month.

Katie:

• Some Writer! The Story of E.B. White by Melissa Sweet
• Seventh Son by Orson Scott Card
• Quicksilver by RJ Anderson

I've enjoyed my 2017 reads so far, and may touch on some of them in future Book Talks (because we plan to intersperse those once in a while). I'm currently reading The Five Love Languages: Singles Edition by Gary Chapman.

Sarah:

• The Last Battle by C.S. Lewis
• The Secret Keepers by Trenton Lee Stewart

Both of the books I've read so far were excellent. I am currently reading Each Little Bird That Sings by Deborah Wiles, which I remember liking when I was little.
